BJP TN President Annamalai whips himself in public.

BJP Chief of Tamilnadu, Mr Annamalai is seen whipping himself in public. He claims that the act was part of the Tamil culture as women walking on burning coal and adhering to fasts for wish fulfilment is part of Tamil traditions. He expresses his agony towards the injustice extended to common public because of the TN ruling party DMK's atrocities in the name of public welfare.

A lot of my forefathers have walked in this path. Flogging or Saatai adi in Tamil is mark of surrendering to the Higher Power. I leave my angst at the feet of the Larger Power. In 2026, we hope to remove DMK from the status of a ruling party and re-establish Tamilnadu's lost glory. We hope Lord Muruga, Jesus and Allah are on our side.

Annamalai adorned in a green Veshti and Angavastram, after flogging himself, said it his way of surrendering to the higher power and dealing with the agony caused by the recent sexual assault in Anna University. He openly claims that DMK is a sanctuary that safeguards thugs who indulge inhuman activities.

He boldly claims that the FIR leak is not a technical glitch as claimed by TN Commissioner, rather a warning sign to all young women. It is a browbeating attempt to keep the women tight lipped in case of similar physical and mental assaults in the future, as this is a black mark on DMK's promise of state level security.

He says it is "unpardonable" to release the victm's FIR with her address and mobile number out in the open.
