Did Jagame Thanthiram promote "One World" Theory?

Jagame Thanthiram released worldwide as a Netflix Original on June 18th. Streaming across 150 countries, the movie opened with a bang in the first off. Suruli, being a close second to Maari, was flipping Barottas while being a Bad (Madurai) Boy. The first half of the movie carries us to a gully goon's London adventures where he unravels the game plans of a Lankan weapon smuggler, Sivadoss. The character starts on a neutral tone and ends up shaded in coal black. Dhanush betraying his Lankan Tamil brother for a British imperialist is the crux of the plot.

The movie touch based issues such as the immigrants and their unsavoury path towards a new life, Eelam Tamils and their betrayed leader and a Tamil who is a co-conspirator against his own brethren. Dhanush shines in the end where he becomes the leader of the shattered Lankan Tamils. But, are we convinced with this resurrection?

The audience are divided into four groups. Movie buffs who expected a popcorn flick had their expectations fizzled out when a gory past made its way back on the screen. Neutral audience felt for Eelam and the long gone leader Prabhakaran based on whom Sivadoss was crafted. However, Tamizh activists believe they have decomposed the nature of Lankan Tamils by portraying them as smugglers and Tamils as infidels. Illuminati activists like Paari Saalan among them believe the makers are promoting a "One World" cover-up by validating the infiltration of immigrants.

Tamils all over the world should watch Jagame Thanthiram. The film aptly depicts the sorrows of immigrants. - Rajmohan, Actor, Comic & Activist.

Karthik Subbaraj wanted the audience to bask in empathy after the movie ends. This opinion bifurcation has left the makers, cast and crew stumped. Jagame Thanthiram means the world is tricky. Indeed, it is.
