Karthi's "Sardar" Motion Poster starts with a Thirukural..

Director Mithran has stormed the cine industry with his sleeper hit, "Irumbu Thirai", with actor Vishal in the lead. The movie spilled secrets on the dark side of Digital India and how volatile our data storage system is. The audience were receptive to the message and applauded Mithran's efforts in bringing out the truth to the public.

Mithran followed up his success with Sivakarthikeyan's "Hero" which dealt with the follies of the education system and corporate patent mafia that kills the creativity spark in children. The film did moderately well in the box office. Sivakarthikeyan's portrayal of a superhero and lengthy message-driven dialogues may have tempered down the audience. However, Director Mithran established himself as a knowledgable filmmaker in the fraternity.

Mithran has joined hands with Actor Karthi for his next movie, "Sardar". The motion poster begins with a Thirukural that says, a spy can remain invisible without attracting any suspicion, wearing any appearance. He fears none and never reveals his true intentions.

Actor Karthi dons the look of an aged man with fluffy white beard in the poster. The motion poster also reveals elements like a globe, ECG and Pakistan & China map layouts. We are safe to assume that the plot revolves around world politics with a spy at its epicentre.
