Cricketer Ashwin is known for spinning his ball and wit. We had last seen him in the IPL tournament 2021 playing under Delhi Capitals. He played a few matches and abruptly quit this year since his family fell prey to Covid-19. However, he has been connecting with his fans and cricket lovers in Tamilnadu through his Youtube Channel where he hosts a Round Table with his Cricket Analyst / Friend Prasanna. His interviews with sports and entertainment business personalities are candid and informative which has made him a popular Youtuber in South India.

Recently, Twitter LOLs as Sanjay Manjrekar mentions that Ravinchandran Ashwin does not fall within the category of All-Time-Great which is the highest praise given to a cricketer. It is a standard for cricketing genius which has been given to legends like Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli, Don Bradman and Gavaskar. Ashwin's hilarious reply to this tweet was a meme from the Tamil movie Anniyan which has got his followers in splits!

In May 2020, Ravinchandran Ashwin has interviewed Sanjay Manjrekar for his Youtube Channel. Sanjay has gotten candid about the 1996 World Cup and his career as a decent batsman. He has also said that he would love for the public to view him as a broadcaster as that is his profession now. He also says that his job requires him to spill out facts and opinions about his contemporaries which might upset players and fan sentiments at times.

Sanjay also reveals that he is hyper-critical of himself and advices the players to fan away such comments in the air. He humbly puts it forth that cricketers are the stars and the commentators are mere chatter around the field. Ashwin ends the interview by suggesting that his interviews and commentaries should have a disclaimer that says, "We do not intend to hurt the players or their fans in the process of doing our job."
