Nithya Menen was seen in an foray of promotional interviews before the release of her film, Kaathalika Neramillai and we saw a different version of her.

A National Award-Winner, a Pathbreaker and a Natural on screen did not seem too happy with her life. She mentioned an incident about her photograph that was picked up by an ad agency, who in turn passed it onto a French Filmmaker who casted her as a child artist. We could pick up a lot of remorse in her tone and body language, almost wishing it never happened.

She gave the vibe of a tortured artist who are agonised by the way the world works. Nithya calls Feminism being propagated with giant pink flags as a mere concept. "It is more in the doing, than saying", she tells. Calling a Female Director a "Female Director" comes from a point of growth of how women have evolved over decades and people should be allowed to celebrate without feeling small.

You do you. Expressing yourself is the highest expression of Feminism. If a director says, I have a female oriented subject for you, I always turn it down. I believe in a Director who says, I have an amazing story for you - Nithya Menen - Nithya Menen

She talks about all the dreams she left behind, riding the Actor Wave for so many years. She is open about how acting is no longer her passion and holds on to her childhood dreams of becoming a wild life photographer or joining an airforce to becoming an entrepreneur. Menen boldly claims that she has not let them go despite having a steady run as an actor. She talks about how we starve our inner child by restricting its movements in a metaphysical way.

Talking about breaking free out on conventional thinking, she speaks about finding joy in little pleasures of life like smiling at a droplet in the shape of a heart.

God is just a source of energy. Anyone and everyone can tap into His energy. Spirituality is all about you, connecting with yourself. - Nithya Menen

She feels spirituality is more of finding yourself . It is a journey of self-discovery. She talks about living in a household with her father being an atheist and how she grew close to an idol of Krishna, gifted to her by her aunt. Her relationship with God shows she is a realist at heart.

She fearlessly claims her entry into the film industry was an accident and she happened to be a good actor. Nithya Menen also claims a "chance" talent robbed her of the opportunities that she missed by being an Actor. All her interviews ends on one common note - I will figure it out.

Nithya Menen has made even Existential Crisis sound poetic.
