An Analysis of Comments on Jeyam Ravi's Instagram Statement

Following, Dhanush, GV Prakash and AR Rahman, Jeyam Ravi had recently announced his separation from his part Aarathi Ravi on Instagram. Unlike the other star couples where the split was mutual, Ravi Mohan's statement led to a similar statement from his to-be ex-wife Aarti Ravi where she clears the airs about their turbulent marriage boldly condemning that this decision was one-sided.

The fans split up into two - one half lauding Ravi for calling it quits from a toxic relationship and the other half sending strength to Aarti Ravi for speaking her truth. In the midst of this chaos, Jeyam Ravi was associated with a Singer and Healer Kenisha Francis and Jeyam Ravi dismissed the rumours as baseless and referred to her as his healer and business partner.

This led to a period of lull, until hell broke loose.

Jeyam Ravi and Kenisha Francis were seen walking hand-in-hand, twinning like a legit couple in Producer Ishari Ganesh's family wedding. It is absurd that Ravi Mohan chose this occasion to introduce his newfound love and this followed deep questions about morality, integrity and honesty thrown all over the news.

Aarti Ravi chose to publish another statement on Ravi Mohan's juvenile gesture and branded him as an "Irresponsible Father". Ravi Mohan got cancelled in less than 24 hours as his comments section was flooded with angry fans calling out his behaviour as crass and cheap. Most importantly, they conveyed that toxic behaviour does not justify cheating on a partner. The 5-page long statement from Ravi Mohan belittling his ( to-be ) ex-wife as narcissistic and controlling fell on deaf ears.

Though few men stood by Ravi at Arthi Ravi's 40-lakh ask of alimony, women continued to shout out justifications stating a woman has the right to demand any amount befitting her standard of living.

Ravi Mohan's fans did not stop short from dismissing his essay as a lengthy excuse he gave himself for cheating on his wife.
